One advantage Apple has is the massive collection of iPad apps available on the app store. The Android tablet app ecosystem is quite lacking in comparison.

I really wanted to like WSL 2 but it has a lot of bugs that may take years to get ironed out (unusably slow disk IO, memory leaks, virtual disks that grow forever, etc.) I think it would probably work for web development as long as you keep

You may want to check the Activity Monitor to make sure the CPU is actually at 100% when you're doing that. Apparently it's quite easy to get the fans going on the Intel Macs even on lighter loads compared to the new M1 ones.

As far as I can tell the Air and Pro get basically the same performance for the first 10 minutes. After that the Air will throttle. There is no task I would do that will max out the CPU for 10+ minutes so I don't see any reason to spen

I really applaud Microsoft for their backwards compatibility efforts and I'm sure organizations love it. But I personally don't need to run Windows software from 20 years ago. For me, there is no reason to use Windows over any of

Yeah, both the Mac Mini and NUC have fans. The Intel NUC will definitely be slower and hotter (thus louder), but I still think it's a better choice if you specifically want to run Linux on it.

That's a bit like saying running Photoshop on a Mac does nothing for Apple. Why would they care? They care because if Photoshop isn't available then people who use Photoshop won't buy Macs. If Linux doesn't run in a VM t

This is why I was excited for Facebook Dating. Although I don't really like Facebook as a company, they don't really have this problem. If two users meet on Facebook dating and form a LTR then it's unlikely to make them leave

Why? I could understand making tablets thinner since they can be used like a paper notebook, but laptops don't work anything like a paper.

I don't believe issues or pull requests are part of the Git repo. If there is a way to migrate them it would involve some GitHub API which could be shut down.

I don't think that's a good example since Gmail is an email provider which can be used with any email client. Element is a Matrix client that can connect to a matrix provider.

Don't you think Uber giving out peoples contact information like that would be a gross violation of riders privacy? If the driver wants they can ask the rider for their contact info (although I would find that kinda creepy).
