This isn't specifically related to this database (since it doesn't contain recipes), but how cool would it be to finetune a GPT model on hundreds of thousands of recipes and have it generate new ones to try.

Obviously the idea of Firefox OS is great. It's successor KaiOS (fork of Firefox OS) is the third most popular mobile OS with hundreds of millions of users. I think what OP was saying is that Mozilla is so poorly managed that they took

What I'm guessing will happen if Uber/Lyft are forced to treat drivers as employees is that those driving full-time will be hired and everyone else will be let go. The employees will lose some control over what hours they work and

In practice there is no scalable way for the government to check everyone's security box every second. However, it is possible for them to scan every message sent in real time and past leaks have shown that they will if given the oppor

I'm not sure but I get the feeling that Snapchat is on the decline. Their killer feature was stories but now every app has those (notably Instagram stories seem very popular).

I do expect TikTok to lose users after Microsoft acquires it. But not because of anything Microsoft might do. TikTok just seems like a fad social network that will inevitably lose the cool factor eventually.

Maybe management don't want to admit to shareholders that they made a horrible mistake.

In practice, I think iOS users will just move on to the next social networking app and forget that TikTok ever existed.

I believe that all of Google's services are blocked in China, so they wouldn't have that data.

I think the trouble is that it's really hard to start a new social network from scratch, so when Facebook wants to compete in a new segment they just tack on the feature to one of their existing social products. However, as you pointed

There are plenty of U.S. social networks where people follow ideas and not people. Reddit is one of the big ones.

Yes, GPT-2 could also do that. It generally works best if you give it some examples to start off. For example, I actually ran the following prompt through the full GPT-2. Everything after "How long ago did Elasmosaurus live?" is G

What I do is use credit cards to cover emergency expenses and then sell some of my bond ETFs to pay the loan after a few days. That way I get to earn 2/3% interest and have liquid access to my money.

Most 13 and 14 inch laptops don't have the numpad. But it's difficult to find a 15+ inch laptop without the numpad for under $1k.

I always imagined that companies that have their stock price "pop" after IPO would've been better off doing a DPO instead (like Spotify) since they would've gotten more money.
