I thought I was the only one dealing with this! Made me consider that my magic keyboard was getting old or having bluetooth issues, but it does not happen on ANY other inputs.

So happy every time I see HTMX. I'm hoping there is more innovation in this space with React engineers rediscovering the benefits of server-side rendering and Backend-For-Frontend efforts. I think the perfect stack involves all 3 parad

That command works well and accomplishes some of what rincr what built to solve. For example, when I mention browse-ability, I mean on the backup host without any dependencies so I can use standard file tools and browsers. I also needed bot

Big fan of restic! The only feature I found missing was the ability to browse historical snapshots like regular files. I wrote and now use the rsync-based, browsable, incremental backup CLI: https://rincr.com/

I haven't used mosh. It looks like it replaces either SSH or Bash, unclear to me. The only dependency in SSHFSUI is SSHFS and if that can be configured to use mosh instead of SSH under-the-hood, support would be possible.

oof Since I'm not at v1 yet, I would consider changing the name if that KDE project is actively maintained.

Happy to hear any feedback! Got pre-built binaries here: https://github.com/thekashifmalik/kbackup/releases and it should be pretty easy to install/build using Go too.

A reimplementation of the ideas in rsnapshot built with the composibility and simplicity of rsync in-mind. It comes with sane defaults and I have been using this to compliment my rsync-style mirror backups for data that needs incremenetal b

Do you know any way to accomplish the same thing but keeping the history in plaintext? Would love to still be able to run SQL over it.

Ah interesting. I had assumed there were different methods, something like: gpt4.prompt(prompt) gpt4.data(email_data) response = gpt4.response() If the interface is just text-in and text-out then Prompt injection seems like

I'm trying to understand the vulnerability you are pointing out; in the example of an AI assistant w/ access to your email, is that AI assistant also reading it's instructions from your email?

It's okay but not ideal. Otherwise anyone connected to WiFi can snoop on traffic. Unfortunately my router, switches, AP and NAS don't support HTTPS either :'(

Oh I came across your post on Reddit and got interested in using it; I already use pihole for local DNS and need to set up a VPN. I submitted it to Hacker News this morning and looks like they just merged threads. Sad to lose mine :'(

At risk of sounding pedantic, REST also allows for "just specify the data that you want returned" style APIs. Something like: curl https://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/eurofxref/api?fields=Date&order=

I don't understand the framing here; isn't salary dependent on job competition in the market (one which is currently full of layoffs) and has little to do with company profts? Bonuses are what are usually tied to company performan

I think the point is less about whether each type of privilege is real, but that this logic is incredible shaky. (i.e. deciding there is a bias against a group solely based on representation in outcomes) Put another way (and I think the OP

Feels like a quite a logical leap there. We'd have to see applications by male / female to distill any type of bias. Even then it would be shaky, albeit often-parroted, logic.
