Ukraine tried to ban the Russian language. Ukraine is not sweet and innocent like the lame-stream press would have you believe. Most Ukrainians wanted peace within Ukraine. It was some others who didn't and they got their wish.

You missed out the point that UBI will just go to the landlords. Once the landlords see u getting a cheque they will up the rent accordingly. Hence taxpayers will be subsidising landlords.

It's more than that. They are suggesting to people that are homeless to take their own life who hadn't even considered it before. I know someone who this happened to. It's creepy.

And the govt is bringing in over a million people a year. What does that do for access to housing? There's some really sick logic going on in Canadian corridors of power. I frankly find it creepy.

So if Canada or Mexico decides to pivot toward China you think the Elites in Washington would stand idly by?

Look into the history of Ukraine over last 20 years. Especially how the Ukrainian speaking part of Ukraine has treated the Russian speaking Ukrainians. It's not what you've been told to believe. Even the Guardian was running stori

40% of Federal MPs own rental property. Now you know why boosting the population is big with politicians.

$1300/mo is cheap! Try $2300 in Vancouver. Canada's two biggest English speaking cities have rents amongst the highest in the world.

Agreed. This is mostly just geopolitical propaganda because China allied with Russia. And maybe COVID fallout. It's all prep to get the population onboard for more military bullying of China.

Agreed. An Australia same. In NZ most people live on the Northern Island. Because better soils, less rugged terrain and milder climate.

Completely agree. The politicians should be tweeking the laws so these sectors become more attractive for investment but alas all they care about is the next election and aggravating homeowners /voters.

If things continue as they are with the Elites owning everything you won't have any civil liberties. And I think that's part of the person's point. Just look at what's happening in the UK, they've basically outlawe

And the "investors" can buy them all up. Look at Vancouver Canada. They built and built and the investors bought and bought. Prices continued to climb.

Look what happened to Berlin over the past 20 years. Same thing: skyrocketing rents.

Agreed with the build more but u have to somehow prevent the speculators from snapping up all the new builds. Vancouver built tons of housing and it was snapped up by foreign buyers and locals for second and third homes to speculate on. By

Yes, this. Canada is not a big country at all when it comes to inhabitable land. The climate makes it so.

SolidJS? It uses Signals in its Reactivity system and there's no virtual DOM. It has some syntax similarities to React making it easier to transition. It uses JSX and is quite performant.

Those houses will just get snapped up by investors. By all means build but you also need laws to prevent houses from being snapped up by those who don't intend to live them.

You need laws to prevent speculators/investors from buying up all the newly built housing. Vancouver built lots of new housing but it was mostly snapped up by investors. That Norwegian ski town got it right.
