I think it's pretty telling that comments surrounding an article about artists not complaining about getting paid enough people complain about the only method Spotify can implement other than charging you money for the service. It'

Using EC2 here for nearly 2 years and you mention I/O problems and instance outages 2-3 times a week. Which size instances were you running? I ask because other than the VM security updates, none our instances have these sort of issues

Major market NPR affiliate developer here. We need ads (digital) and underwriting (OTA) to operate. Member donations are great but don't make up the entire budget.

I don't think it has to do with ethnicity as it does with the experience of every regular cab I've ever gotten into.

It's like someone issued a command from on high to write story after story about how bad Uber is. They've made a lot of missteps but I'm starting to wonder if all these articles are justified.

You do realize that Javascript powers the majority of ads, you know, the things content creators need to continue creating. And don't forget all those great Show HN browser libraries and projects powered by Javascript. News organizatio

You're generalizing an entire industry based on a few bad sites. All the interactive projects you see news organizations doing are REQUIRE Javascript. You're asking developers to handicap themselves just because a few people decid

As a web developer, people like you always make me wonder why I try. Yes, some sites abuse javascript for terrible purposes, but as CSS becomes more powerful, are you going to start blocking that too? Complaining that a site doesn't wo

We use Slack and I always thought this was an odd behavior. We're a part of a major university so our domain is quite large and we can see dozens of other departments and projects using Slack just by putting in our email.

Love the "READ_THIS_IF_YOU_ARE_TRY_TO_HACK_ME" file. It's a pretty clever tool and I imagine it'd be great for future interviews. Something to keep in mind, although I can't imagine it being a huge subscriber base.

I consider myself pretty adept at UX and have no real issues with Trello and it's been quick to learn and use for our technical and non technical staff alike. It may have slight issues but nothing in the scale your comment suggests.
