My point that "you don't own it" is more from a security standpoint. ..which was pretty dumb to say. I can't verify that companies wont give my data to the feds and I can't trust them not to. It isn't my data t

Lots of inaccuracies and fallacies. The NSA Spying is not against the fourth amendment. If you're a lawyer feel free to correct me but the supreme court has made it very clear that they believe the framers were being literal when they

Wow, awful. If you got to a InfoSec/Hacker Con the people there either work for Govt Contractors, Used to work for the Govt, or work at small companies (that get paid by the govt). The "Top Hackers" certainly still will work

Without any manipulation why wouldn't this be vulnerable to a replay attack?

Kind of interesting scheme that doesn't really work in 2013. Wouldn't this be vulnerable to replay attacks, or am I missing something?

Security professionals have hypothesized many attacks against the anonymity of the tor onion and what you describe is pretty close to one of them. If the NSA was to create tons Tor nodes (enter, exit, and relay), the onion may be broken. To

No surprise here. I posted my thoughts about this on reddit, as someone who has dealt with paypal and their bug bounty program. They will do anything they can to say the vulnerability is out of scope. Even some heinous vulnerabilities. It's

Salting would definitely make a difference. The point of salting is to increase the complexity and overhead of generating rainbow tables. The first mistake here is the use of MD5. MD5 is flat out broken. Do Not use md5. Do use bcrypt. In yo

Very interesting, but I feel there is a difference of need here. You're right...there a Ring buffer with an array is better, but for average programmers a linked-list makes a damn good (maintainable, easy, understandable, and pretty quick)
