I live in Cleveland, and it sounds like they're considering the drive-thru testing approach as a possibility. Hoping this ramps up this month.

It's the lack of information and sense that there are no adults in the room among our leadership that is the most frustrating. It worries me more than the virus itself.

Related note: Strang's essay on the imbalance in education in favor of Calculus over Linear Algebra is (in my opinion at least) a great read, for those interested in the pedagogy of mathematics. http://web.mit.edu/18.06

Interestingly, cities in India seem to be at a lower traffic level than 2019 too. Maybe it's related to other factors?

Yes, ultimately the intention (quite surprisingly) of the USAF is to replace the A-10 series with the F-35.

SymPy Gamma ( https://gamma.sympy.org/input/?i=integrate+x%5E2 ) sort of fits as an alternative, though it's not very good at parsing general questions/expressions.

I tinkered with home automation in the past, and had the same worries. I felt comfortable enough with Z-Wave, but drew the line at anything networked.

I came into the link ready to nitpick the choices (for some reason which I really should examine), but it's actually a nice birds-eye-view of the field that is rare to see. I feel like mathematicians, perhaps more than most, tend to st
