I have a couple of Pis running at home. To be honest, I've had enough SD card corruptions across a variety of models that I've moved to running the root directory off of USB. Has anyone else experienced this, or is this likely clo

I think most people have a hometown that, even if they leave, always know they can go back to and make a simple life for themselves. I can imagine it being hard to grow up in a place where you have a pretty reasonable expectation of never b

First-time parent of a 4-month old, we're thinking the same way. Me and my wife are both engineering types, and do worry about being obsessively goal-oriented.

Interesting - is the idea behind free markdown desktop editing with PDF export to basically replace traditional document editors like Word or Open/Libre Office? I'm used to thinking about markdown as just a tool for lazy people (l

Not to mention, if you are given a task that requires use of the same type of tapes and are not offered any funding to procure unused ones, then you will have no choice but to record over them. As a government employee, I see this as the mo

Not that throwing extra people on a project always helps, but $94m can buy quite a bit of developer FTE, even over a 6 year timespan. I wonder how many employees they currently have working on the project?

I'm curious what other people's perspectives are on the (what appears to me anyway) dominance of Macbooks among developers these days. Is it the convenience of a Unix-y machine with decent drivers, or something else?

A bit of a tangent to this post, but within the walls of NASA there are a few projects which are trying to structure themselves around the startup tech company model. The CAS (convergent aeronautics solutions) project is one example. http:
