Can you provide a source on gpt4 image model being fake? I haven’t heard that before, though I have wondered why I haven’t heard anything about the image part and don’t have access to image processing myself.

And I’ll add that this same discussion used to happen with pc gaming vs mobile gaming where purists thought it was crazy that anyone would play mobile games, but if you look at the markets now, mobile gaming is estimated as more than twice

“Well let them e̴a̴t̴ ̴c̴a̴k̴e̴ play on $2000 gaming rigs.” I get that gaming like that through a phone would suck compared to a high end gaming pc, but people don’t do that out of preference.

Did you actually read the links that you posted? The snopes article pretty plainly explains that it refuted that the store was closed due to “angry transgender customers”, but that the reasons for closure were high rates of shoplifting and

In almost any other scenario this would be evidence. But Fast Inverse Square Root isn’t some tightly held secret. That exact code, with those specific comments included, is found in the Wikipedia page for that algo: https://en.m.

Why do you need or want links for a recipe? ChatGPT(ESPECIALLY with gpt4) will tell you the full recipes in a nice concise easy-to-follow list. Why are you grading a chatbot on its web search result abilities instead of its answer-providing

The cynical part of me hears this and assumes that they’re intentionally offering better-than-average rates in a new market to establish a base of customers, and then slowly pull back the competitiveness once they’re established.

I’ve had a theory that LLMs are going to increase the prevalence of “shadow it”. Aka slightly technical business users using gpt to create their own apps to handle business processes. These apps will then lead to large increases in security

I’d argue that pieces of that interview could still be gamed using this cheating platform depending on how accurate, fast, and realistic sounding the gpt responses are. And all of those attribute will just get better as new models are relea

This “burn it all to the ground” mentality is naive. There is nothing leetcode-specific about this cheating platform. OP just angled it that way because HN readers would lap it up that way. Assuming someone was using this cheating platform,

“Why are we talking about X when we could be talking about Y” is some classic whataboutism. You really seem to be trying to push a pro China agenda by discounting the importance of this. You’re stance on this is actually “I don’t believe th

Thinking that google’s decision to not release their tech until forced to by competition was based on morals and not based on keeping secret the tech that could topple their dominant market position is pretty generous.

One thing to note is that Bing Chat isn’t the straight GPT-4 model, it’s heavily prompted to show you an answer in a format that Bing Chat wants it to be in. Notice how most lines in a Bing Chat response are direct summaries of lines from t
