Using Tesla's own numbers for a turnkey installation such as this. Costs will probably come down another $50-80 per kWh with improvements in battery costs.

Interesting concept. At $150,000,000 for 500MwH = $300/KwH of energy storage. Tesla's Megapack solution is $300/KwH also, giving this a good running chance if they can get costs down with scale. I like that it can potential

The other consideration is that you want to encourage application developers to use those lower power states, and not make it look like their program is artificially abusing available resources.

This rhetoric furthered by Elon, Jack Ma and several others where working 7 days a week for 18 hours is "ideal" and that rest and relaxation are had at the expense of productivity/success is a real dangerous position. You kno

Yeah unless it's a business, even then, you're pushed to sign up for an account to message the business. As a business, I would be weighing my options here as your Facebook page is often one of the first to show in the results.

I kind of hate how far down the rabbit hole you have to go to find a familiar management ui in windows today. I find myself using run commands to bring up these UIs more and more. It would be an acceptable tradeoff if these new interfaces

I always find it amusing how much graphQL there is without actual graph db behind it. Seems the concept of having fluid relationships is appealing for querying but not structuring/storing... which seems like a disconnect. I have only s

Yeah I will agree on this - higher pay higher stakes usually. I know a few that moved out of 996 companies and are much MUCH happier, and better compensated. One used the offer to solicit a counter-offer and extra vacation time at her cur

All the shops in Ukraine and India I know of are solidly heading up in price for developers. Engineers make 20-30x the average salary and junior devs are making 24k USD per year out of uni there. Compare that to 35k USD in Canada. I think

I appreciate the alternative perspective and productive-pessimism, but anecdotally in my immediate social circle of engineers, 5 have changed jobs - all for substantial upgrades, and not 1 of them was for a job that required office presence
