Two things matter at cloud-scale: Compatability - does using a tpu require reworking significant parts of your software stack and application stack? If so, that sucks for most companies who's researchers are used to using nvidia libra

Does it blip planes when the radar scan rolls over them and they stay in a static position but fade until the next sweep? That would be so cool. Would also be amazing to look at device current gps altitude and location to determine the vis

Yes, obviously, but why? Good products are still out there but there are very few trustworthy sources of reviews that actually test the durability. Project farm comes to mind as a rare example. Consumer reports does a decent job but puts i

B&O has some home audio setups that are more expensive than those luxury cars with b&o upgraded sound systems (beolab 90 for example). I think they're probably not referring to their entry level b&o smart speakers when they

I think AMDs shady marketing where they claimed 1.4x over H100 is enough to just steer clear of the hype and wait for results. Summary: they cherrypicked legacy nvidia sdk's and used llama batch sizes that are not used often in product

Reading through some (admittedly very early) MLX docs and it seems that convolutions (as used heavily in GANs and particularly stable diffusion) are not really seeing meaningful uplifts on MLX at all, and in some cases are slower than on th

Looks like you can get some interesting views from either end of the airport via either bridge, and with these steep approaches and takeoffs it looks like it makes for some great planespotting - mostly smaller E190/A220's though.

I don't think x86 will ever get to the level of power efficiency that ARM has, simply due to the fact the arm cores and instructions are all built and engineered for low power usage. Performance per watt is only part of the picture, p

I remember going from 56kbps dial-up (getting about 5-6KB/s) to a T1 and downloading an mp3 went from 20 minutes to 30 seconds. Diminishing returns past that point for sure :)
