He tends to be more of a stream of consciousness writer than an ideas man. My recollection of reading him is he doesn't build an argument from premise to conclusion, but implies an argument by stringing together perhaps unrelated anecdotes

The writer's resume includes "Twitter" under the Relevant Skills section. Which is not to say one should be skeptical about the post. For that you need only look to the lack of citation for everything in it.

I'm not sure this is generally true. This holds for rare, luxury goods and limited markets (like housing). But the concentration of wealth in a minority AFAIK doesn't seem to bid up large markets like corn or paper.

I just read yesterday that there is a similar process for churches. Churches are automatically exempt from paying taxes because of the first amendment. But if they sign up to be a 501(c)(3), then apparently they still don't have to pay taxe
