The idea of a delta between what’s known in a public cpu, and what’s documented is pretty frightening to me. I hadn’t considered this could be a thing. I always assumed it was simply doing what’s advertised. Naively.

I honestly wonder what will happen now that the stock market AND the military industrial complex are both tanking. The F35 has a kill switch that makes it possible for the US to shut down the aircraft. Wasn’t an issue until we started threa

Too much hype x hyperbolic headline = lots of typing to explain why it’s wrong. So much energy burnt to this.

The argument to rebuild absolutely works. It allows Russia to recover their frozen assets, partner with China and Iran, and work with the US leadership. Understand that NATO will be diminished if Russia claims they are peaceful.

I’m simple on that notion: Russia is our adversary. They have assassinated people in the EU and UK. Sabotaged our pipelines. Paid anti EU politicians. Threatened EU powers. Shot down civilian flights. Made plans to invade the Baltics. They

I’m curious: were there NAS’ or WebDAV mount in the DOS era? Obviously there was FTP and telnet and such. Just curious if remote mounts was a thing, or if the low bandwidth made it impossible

I remember when social media was the hype at the start of web2, and a bunch of people came in saying everything would be social. Then the same thing with cloud. Big data. Bitcoin. VR. Ethereum. Web3. NFTs. I mean AI is cool and it helps wit

There are very valid use cases that don’t involve firing artists. Plenty of upscaling / remasters benefit from this tech. If we think further, applying AI to something like RTX Remix would allow a lot of progress in keeping older games

It’s the tension between narrative storytelling and content creation. Also why so many indie developers end up making games that are a couple rooms with changing details (12 minutes, etc)!

Beyond the impersonation, what sounds really odd is this was a group of people who planned this act together. On their own. I’d say that goes well beyond a prank or something similar.

It was a great show. Wish they had renewed it for a fifth season. The last one was excellent considering it wrapped up the Augments, the Klingons looking different in TOS, and many more arcs!
