Ehh, maybe it's for the best. Such an agency is effectively a check on the power of the entire government, so I wouldn't expect it to be effective if the government is pulling the strings. And, its demise further weakens the illus

My guess is that it was just a way to keep the message simple and not have too many numbers to distract the reader. The numbers for each pairing were probably conveniently close together, so combining them cut out two bullet points from an

Sounds like Microsoft can't tell the difference between "has AV installed that will break" and "has no AV installed", which makes sense. It's probably infeasible to reliably fingerprint all existing AV software

Maybe I just have big hands or I'm uncoordinated, but I've never been able to use one of these things without touching the inside at the top at least once. The last thing I want to be doing is touching a probably filthy surface af

Same for me, except on Windows 7. CPU spiked to 100% and I warmed up my hands with the extra heat :). Closing the tab and waiting a minute or so (the usual thing I do for cpu/memory intensive pages like this) didn't work. I had to

I wonder if we can glean any information from the timing of this. Blind speculation follows... Was this a new system that has recently been set up, maybe even this week? If so, does that mean the US military is taking North Korea seriously

Same for me - switching to the wavey tab is instantaneous. However, I do see a ~500-1000ms delay when switching from the wavey tab to any other tab.

My guess is that the cost of the placeholders is indeed what is driving their decision, though perhaps it is a premature optimization. Maybe they've had situations where a spammer has created a very large number (millions, billions?) o

This got me thinking that I don't really know what products Microsoft even sells anymore. I know they have Windows and Office of course, but do they even still sell Windows, or is it all ad-driven revenue now? And of course they have b

In the software world, we would fork or rewrite, and deprecate the old version. I think we should do the same for healthcare. The existing system is unmaintainable spaghetti code that needs to be deleted. Create a new single payer healthcar
