> Most are no more than a saas template on the gpt3 api (or chatgpt unofficial as ‘prelaunch’) or one of the stable diffusion api’s, with a bit of lazy prompt priming showing a few cherry picked demos. This is what really grinds my gears

A better "hack" for linux users: Linux supports a "digital-only" modifier called "Hyper". You can use Xmodmap to set a key as hyper on press, and set Hyper-F[X] to whatever functions you wish to. Alternativel

Only if they somehow manage to hoodwink everyone by signalling exceptional competence. Otherwise, it mostly comes across as someone that lacks theory of mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_mind https:/

Why do people do this? I understand the motivation behind people making endless pages of generated useless content that they then use SEO on, but this is bizzare.

I think a better distinction than "people vs things" is "interconnect vs push/pull".

Anyone think there'll be another editor that'll surpass VSCode, similar to how VSCode surpassed Atom (and others)? I used to think that there would be one, but now I'm not so sure.

Nipping a fantasy =/= killing people Asking people to "take the quick way out", though, IS asking someone to kill himself for having an opinion you don't seem to like.

I don't think lone immigrants would immigrate if they had to cut contact with people they knew. It's also a big difference in outlook -- people that would scoff at life extension would also be the people ready to "end" s

I'm a fourth of the way in. Your outlook is fully alien to me. We die when we die. This struggle for X more years of life is at best vain.
