If growth continues linearly it will be less than 20tb. It is possible to fit that much data on a single physical drive even now, let alone in 500 years. 360gb is just not that much.

They changed their branding. Their 10nm node was renamed to Intel 7, their 7nm is now Intel 4. Since amount of nanometers doesn't really mean anything anymore that's good PR strategy that nicely represents state of their nodes bec

Most games use licensed engines, most AAA games use their own engines. Only 3 out of top 10 games in Steam use engine that support metal. More than a half of games in top 100 use engines that don't support metal. In this month we have

It's scaled up M1. No new cores, no new modules. Just more of everything. I would've been disappointed if it was called m2.

Intel chips eat much more energy than AMD ones. Comparatively to AMD gap isn't that big(and it's mostly due to better node).

It will be definitely handy for finetuning large models due to huge ram, but in training from scratch 3090 is certainly better. They are seemingly cooking 128 core GPU, if they release this kraken it will beat 3090 in pretty much everything

Intel is releasing heterogeneous chips in less than a month. Both Intel and AMD bet heavily on 3d stacking and it should hold Apple off desktop. A lot of Apple advantage is due to node advantage and I expect that AMD will start getting late

Desktop games and mobile games are not the same. On mobile pretty much every heavy game uses either UE or Unity. High end PC games use custom engines that are heavily tuned for x86 and use different APIs. Metal port would be expensive and n

Intel was stuck on the same node for 6 years. Alder lake looks very promising, Alchemist GPUs same. They will have CPU performance crown on laptops in less than 6 months. Power usage will be much better than now. Their 3d stacking strategy

Have you seen GPU prices lately? Desktop 3070 level performance in portable laptop for 3500$ is not that bad of a deal. If they make Mac Mini around 2500$ it would be pretty competitive in PC space.

They never before had good graphics in mainstream products. And there's no official support for any of the industry standard API(to be fair there is MoltenVK, but not much traction yet), yes, there is support for Metal in UE4/5 an

> Not sure if it will be available, but 400GB/s is way too much for 8 cores to take up. You would need some sort of avx512 to hog up that much bandwidth. If we assume that frequency is 3.2Ghz and IPC of 3 with well optimized code(
