I mean I think digital nomad is a bit of a misnomer to begin with. Trying to do any meaningful or serious work while literally backpacking or in a van all the time sounds terrible and exhausting. I think the more successful ones are just re

So do you actually believe that only a minority of people revolve consumer debt on a credit card? I’m sure it’s broken out somewhere in quarterly earnings but it’s not going to be a small minority of consumers paying credit card interest.

How do you “lose”? For better or for worse consumer credit fuels the economy. There’s $1T in outstanding revolving consumer debt. If that went to $0 tomorrow the economy would crumble, not the opposite.

Circle/USDC immediately blacklisted every sanctioned address. Reality is USDC is so intertwined with Eth/Defi at this point that the Feds can effectively censor Eth through Circle. So while I agree this demonstration is silly it’s

Yeah I’ve been casually browsing no fee apartments which are generally the “luxury” high rises and they are mostly $5k range or higher for a 1 bed. If I paid a 15% brokers fee on say an older $3500 walk up that would effectively make it $40

I don’t really know why it’s so hard to pinpoint what Alex Jones is or does what he does. He’s a professional troll, as in says things he doesn’t necessarily believe in himself but fit whatever public brand he is trying to sell because it b

I thought the trade off was largely understood by the seller eg you take a small discount in exchange for a very fast and reliable sales process where you can sell to Opendoor in days vs weeks/months in a traditional sales process?

I wonder how the free stuff is taxed. It sounds like it would fit under a fringe benefit and technically would mean it’s taxable.

you’re trying to frame taking out a standard mortgage on a house as irresponsible gambling so no don’t see how that’s similar to a corporation who burned billions using cheap money and ended up trashing their company

I don’t think that’s what no equity cliff means if it’s a standard one year cliff then it just means if you’ve worked there for 5 months you get 5 months of equity whereas you would have gotten zero. it’s not “all the equity” Also Shopify i

What does this have to do with being rewarded in the same way a corporation was being rewarded for irresponsible levels of spending and cash burn in low rate environments which is what you saw with Shop and others? Using cheap money to buy

I wouldn’t consider being able to take out a big mortgage a reward, it’s just a thing that is possible to do.

It’s not insane when you look at the revenue growth over the same period. Especially if most are operations focused employees eg support staff.

Have a hard time believing this is true in NYC proper. Most of the housing stock in NYC are co-ops, which have fairly strict rules about renting out units. Condos are significantly more expensive to purchase, and there is pretty much nothin
