I love the fact that I can still get 2 dozen eggs for $6 at Costco, meanwhile it's like at least $5 a dozen anywhere else in NYC.

You don't have to buy the buns lol. I remember using sliced bread instead of the buns because it's cheaper if you only use 1 slice to wrap the meat. I still see the $1.99 for a loaf of wonder bread or whatever it's called.

Depends on the person. I still text a guy that I worked with 5 years ago and we still play games together online from time to time. I don't keep in touch with my old boomer manager though because we don't have any mutual interes

Sounds like an impossible task if you account for customers not wanting to pay more for food. People who don't make a livable wage would just opt to work somewhere else or move away from the hospitality industry altogether.
