You can! Elm is interesting, though it's developer is a bit polarizing Also there are a host of nascent Rust/WASM frameworks starting to pop up. They really like the tree puns. There is Yew, Sycamore and Seed.

There existed many companies/people who would collect whatever you wanted and bring it where ever for a fee with a phone call. People would not be willing to pay the price however.

Don't get too hung up on this toy example being a database. The bottle neck could be any form of downstream service, possibly one you do not control. Not everything is a CRUD app running in the cloud.

This was what I noticed as well. The minute your db queries become expensive the sync workers end up slowing down and stopping other functions. If your workers are tied up doing expensive queries you might be holding up cheap queries that m

It is not uncommon to see someone cut across the road and scream at people in cars or throw things. Depending on the driver lots of different stuff happens. Some will drive around them, others get out and confront them etc. I suspect an aut

I did not use the mobile version until after they redid the design. I dont really have a lot of complaints about it. I like the dark mode and the address bar at the bottom it has ad blocker. What all changed between those versions ?

Sure, but I think if you are discussing this type of thing in the context of python you have to use the threads/processes terminology to avoid confusion.

In python there is nuance to the term threads. Threads in python will run in the same python process and use only one core. If you want to use more cores you need to use more python processes.

Rocket prior to 0.5 was not async and thus does not really preform well in those benchmarks. 0.5 however is async and is currently in rc, when it is released I would expect it to climb up the list a little bit.

My understanding is WASM is pretty performant except in the case when it needs to interact with browser apis / js where is preforms quite a bit worse than JS.

No but half of 625 is very easy math (half of 600 is 300, half of 25 is 12.5) and it makes doing everything else so much easier.

That feels like a totally fair assessment. I guess I would say that mailing lists favor producers over consumers. Often when I am looking at a mailing list it is for the same reason I am poking through a GitHub issue. I am looking for someo

I don't think discord or slack is a great alternative as it is very ephemeral (and not really open source / decentralized) but I do think interacting with a mailing list is worse than a threaded forum type layout.

You don't need to ruminate on things like this but there is a lot of value in keeping a light dev journal of sorts about what you have done and the results. Makes it way easier in interviews or ever just in a normal performance review
