These threads remind me of the MS threads. Just like MS doesn't care about home users, Adobe doesnt care about hobbyists. Unless you're a professional graphic designer, you're probably using less than 1% of its capabilities a

Nope, it's 1/2 - 2/3 the speed of light depending on the metals used.

That's just simply not true at all, I don't know where you're getting this idea. Literally every Olympic athlete was more fit that an any astronaut ever.

It wasn't inappropriate, it's just that you typically didn't have multiple cable boxes. There wasn't really a reason to have a TV in a kids room if you're only getting OTA broadcasting, there wasn't much for ki

The first time I tried anthropics version it burned up all its tokens in like 10 minutes and left me stuck in a broken state. So I uninstalled it.

That's exactly what I expected. It's completely stuck and has no idea what to do. Every long term task I've tried ended up the same way. LLMs have no idea how to take initiative and/or realize they are stuck banging thei

Yep. If you can't make it with Spotify and all the social media channels available, you definitely wouldn't have made it before all of this stuff.

> I don't like what they do to artists. Global distribution. For $40/year. That was fucking unheard of 20 years ago. Spotify is the best thing that ever happened to artists. Don't let the mediocre one's who blame thei

Right but the approach is different. Now the idea is as soon as you have a song, you record and release it. You don't wait until you have 45 minutes or 12 tracks or whatever. The album comes out later, but it's just a collection o

Well that would be legal/contractual stuff you signed with the label. Doesn't have anything to do with managers, which was why I wasn't really sure what parent was saying.

At least at the enterprise level, I've never seen anyone use Backblaze for this. You want to use a cloud level backup like Rubrik/Veeam/Cohesity. Trying to back up cloud based files locally is a fools errand. Granted it sucks

I agree mostly but take issue with "not needing managers". As someone who went from split shows to big venues to touring, managers (good ones) are a godsend. Will there be convenient parking? Do they have adequate power? Is the st

I've seen companies literally mirror every piece of data they have in snowflake to do AI/analytics stuff. There's probably a lot of of shit in there.

Because lead doesn't readily leach into water. Your water supply has to be real fucked up for that to happen.

The weather needs to be your biggest consideration. Cars get eaten alive by salt and you'll need one for sure. It's cold 6 months a year and in the winter you get like 8 hours of sunlight, while you're at work. If you are use

No, the game has changed. Back then, the singles were typically accompanied by an album, even if it was just filler. It's better to release singles now due to the way the Spotify and iTunes algos work. Best practice is now to release y
