Does anyone know if this is good (or at least better) news for the custom ROM scene? GrapheneOS recommends using hardware attestation over both SafetyNet and Play Integrity API to support alternate systems, but is this still good news?

It could be impressive, but the website frequently goes down when big news hit. I think they could move it to a more powerful machine and the remaining issues would be fixed. It wouldn't be as big of a flex as running on an ancient Int

As is, actions in custom GPTs are almost useless right now, since you need to approve each and every request. Hopefully they fix that.

Or, when you fire people, have a clear reason for it. Not being "consistently candid" is not that.

I don't see why an iPhone 15 Pro wouldn't be able to capture these scans, especially with the new "spatial video" feature, which takes a "3d" video using multiple lenses.

I wonder where they are coming from. Has hackernews become a site status checker, and because there's no good direct link, people are linking to HN? (tbh they also do that if there's a good direct link)

You can't use artist names in prompts anymore so I don't think you'll be able to use DALL-E 3 there? EDIT: it's only living artists actually that you can't prompt (hopefully, the article says so at least)

Except the storage choices don't make sense. Storage is extremely cheap right now, the base should be at least 512GB, yet we have to pay premium to get a reasonable amount of space.

It makes a lot more economical sense to cloud-host big models like GPT-4 and optimize them for the hardware they run on. But for small models, sure, let the user run them locally, eliminating network latency.
