Actually, in this case it's the joys of a resource-extraction-based economy which leads to massive consolidation of power and corruption, and which may be dolled up under many forms of government, left or right. Socialism isn't th

Github is better. It just is. You don't have to worry about backups, it has great tools built on top of the vcs to make working with it and project management easier. It makes it easier to manage the D part of DVCS, and it lets you eas

You hit the nail on the head, and then turned it into a condemnation and missed the point and problem entirely. It's mental illness. The reason they won't "follow any rules" is because they're mentally ill. There&#x

And the thing about being Mossad'd is that even if you're being individually targeted, making it harder often is what lets you know you're being attacked. Raise the bar to fend off attackers!

We're trying to do better when best is really, really hard. Saying "it's not perfect so it's not good enough" really doesn't make anything harder for attackers. If you trust on boot, and someone forces a reboot

I think there will probably be a lot of niche, human staffed places. I worry though, that as robots close the gap, our collective baseline for cost will drop so low that $3 for good espresso will seem outrageous when the robot will churn it

I hate to be unable to put my money where my mouth is, but I read a bunch of early 3d game GDDs in college as part of understanding and overcoming hardware limitations in computer graphics. It wasn't so much "dont do this" as

If it's any consolation, non "indie" artists including large clothing manufacturers also maintain a baseline lividness usually reserved in the industry for counterfeiters.

How does a barista offer that, versus simply visiting an interface (app, browser), clicking a button, and having it delivered to your table by a robot within five minutes? I don't think the "productive atmosphere" concept is
