I think this is part of why they've embraced microwave internet. I have webpass, owned by google fiber, and it's up to 300 mbps^ for under $50 a month. I think it speaks well to your point though: If I could get 10d/1u for $2

I disagree. They were in a prime position to be "the" self driving car company, if anyone was. Instead, hyper aggressive business tactics (which were largely unwarranted) has backfired.

Massive government subsidies and tax breaks. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with it, but it does make the playing field unfair.

You would. Calories in - calories out. Simple math. That's not all there is to it, but if you're trying to burn fat, it'll take you most of the way there.

The console supports 10/100, possibly gigabit, ethernet over USB. It's an <$20 adapter that can be gotten on amazon.

This is happening everywhere, though. Young people in every western nation seem to be flocking to central, dense urban areas while at the same time market forces cause retail to thin its margins and coalesce. It sucks, but it's not nec

Basically, synced playlists? That's a trivial innovation that was done on tons of 3rd party sites after youtube launched. I don't think it's mind blowing, I think it's a neat feature compared to on-demand, which I think

That's not really that eccentric. If I lost a few million dollars on opening, I'd probably want hashbrowns with my mcmuffin.

Not by the same coin, I'm saying that it's speculation. And, I provided some examples as to why it's speculation.

That is complete speculation. There are tons of reasons why Google wouldn't switch Android "over", including established development environments, drivers, and licensing. It's fun to speculate on the purpose of this but

Thiel supported Trump and built an escape plan. It's not that he doesn't have a skin in the game, but if the game turns bad, he can bail and leave "us" behind.

It's simpler than that, currency exchanging costs money. If you're using a foreign currency, then you don't have to pay those fees. If, that currency is even available in your country (in some, using certain countries is proh

A package management system is a convenience, not a requirement for desktop users. Chromebooks have one of the most robust and well built foundations I've ever seen, and the platform lacks any semblance of low level package management.

The flip side is that I needed a laptop to take with me to events, so I got a $750 dell xps13. If I were a college student, I'd be eyeing the $1200 version extremely hard versus an equivalent specced macbook pro at $1700 Or, the $750 v

The quality of a package manager is of much less importance to a desktop system user than the (un)readability display, I would think.

I know why apple hasn't, but I'd kill for a $1500 macbook stuffed into a macbook pro case, and all of that spare space taken up by battery. Give me a core-m, 8GB RAM, a high res display, and a massive battery.
