Don't be ridiculous, truth is a defence against Libel (written down is libel, not slander). The onus is on the person who said the thing to prove it is true ("guilty until proven innocent," since it's a civil rather th

"Inter-personal skills" plus "works well in a team" seem to be those criteria, as I would describe them (from the UK). (I don't actually mind what anyone calls it, but "culture fit" has got a bad press and

Lived in London for six years, only spoke to my partner, people at work/uni and my landlord (who is also an uncle-in-law, if that's a thing). Two weeks before we left we got a dog. We met so many people from the area and the dog w

Isn't culture fit just another word for "people like me"? There have been numerous articles reporting the huge damage this sort of optimisation does. Did you mean "inter-personal skills"? The rest of your answer see

Performance reviews and their flaws are discussed in detail later in the article. In particular, they detect false positives but not false negatives.

Ah, "cards" may mean index cards. I just use notepaper, but the book recommends writing stuff on index cards so you can "publicly display" them to the players and remind yourselves of the state of the world at that point

I recommmend an online game then - Reddit "looking for group" is quite good as a hub. You need "fudge dice", but these are mappable from D6s. I recommend getting the dice though, as this is th table: 1 => -1 2 => -

I don't know much about the difference between Core and Accelerated, I just bought the Fate Core rule book (amazon?) and workout out of it. This is how I run pretty much all my games, buy the book and read it. A new DM should (IMHO) tr

This is much more explicit in a different, much simpler RPG called Fate, which is my new favourite. GM'ing (Game, rather than Dungeon Master) is nearly as hard because of the improv story authorship, but the lack of rules-lawyering jud

Have you read Patrick Rothfuss' Name of the Wind? The Arcanum from it is a librarian's nightmare, I wondered what you thought of the description / if you've ever worked in a library that's too big to sort properly.

EPEL not being enabled by default I find a little weird, but sure it's not the end of the world. The thing I find strange is that the people I'm talking about will happily run code from random 3rd party repos (providing PHP 7.0 or
