Check my post from 10 years ago https://nhibernate.info/blog/2009/03/19/nhibernate-poid-gene... I put data about fragmentation when using uuid there.

you can use application generated sequential ids.

I came to the conclusion that IDs should be application-assisted, if not application generated. Offloading that to DB brings some unnecessary work that needs to be handled on the application side otherwise, and tends to o be bad for perform

This is very similar to my exact experience, with ages probably shifted by a year or two, given my site from 1999 shows a javascript alert prompt lol.

This is correct, but clarifying the last sentence, you go back to 15% the year after.

I think you are wrong. If you pass 1M$ in 2020, your 2021 apple tax rate would be 30%. Key parts: If a participating developer surpasses the 1 million USD threshold, the standard commission rate will apply for the remainder of the year. -

Rats of hanoi, cobra effect and all. Apple should have made this like the tax rates, first 1M at 15%, rest at 30%. With this move, apple didn't affect their revenue, while looked good to everyone. From a prior thread [1], this affects

Turkey. An experienced senior engineer earns about 2000$. About what you would make if you invest your money using 4% withdrawal rate. You can live in a coastal/touristy area and live well.

Docker on mac is a vm, and things relating to volume mounts are horrendous. Switched to a linux laptop (aero15) and things work now.

Another one is cusips in a similar fashion. Cusips are unique identifiers that identify a security. They are also proprietary with fairly expensive pricing for startups.

graphql kind of does that. SQL is very complex, T-SQL is turing complete, meaning you can do lots of damage. you can bring servers to a halt if unchecked. It's pretty hard to restrict what can be done keeping flexibility.

They are going great lengths to prevent dynamically changing apps. Also this is one way they can enforce itp and variants on webviews so from their pov, it makes sense I suppose.
