It's really hard to switch from a car that has been mazda-reliable. Only reason for me would be new safety tech. You should look into that too. New gen Mazdas are good! I can afford many, but my heart is in another Mazda. Source: Mazda

Yeah he is trying really hard to make it look like apple did this out of the goodness of their heart. It's not. Apple compromised something it could compromise without hitting its bottom line and probably got some good will.

Ex googler here. Google has become a utility company, and I believe that's what you are saying. And I agree. I love Gmail, photos, drive etc and I have been a Google user longer than I have been an employee. This is a good thing. But,

That's a bit cynical. They may or may not be a newbie, but there is always something for everyone to learn, and saying they did this for engagement is something you don't know.

Right now tidb. ydb has a few operational challenges that i can see. TiDB was solid during the time i gave it a try.

Databases have had their storage and compute together for as long as i remember. It's changing now, though, in a good way. TiDB, YDB, SurrealDB, singlestore, etc is changing that. I am looking forward to a seamless way to move data fro

I'm looking forward to ydb having a better day 1/2 operations. They have a kubernetes operator, but I don't know if they had great backup logistics. Also, iirc, the volume expansion at the time was not supported. My GitHub is

They do, yes. There are some rules around the attribution, like if recruiters have reached in some capacity in the past xx months without an outcome, you may still not get an award, I believe.

I personally do not care about that, that was not the reason I offered referral. Same reason I referred very little number of people if any in the past.

I imagine one reason I didn't hear about them before is that they don't seem to offer self service. I absolutely don't want to talk to anyone when I am buying object storage, cloud vms, or even dedicated.

Yeah Hetzner doesn't have dedicated in the US, and not sure if it will in near/mid future. Still, Hetzner cloud is pretty good option, and there's more support coming on building on Hetzner. https://www.ubicloud.co

Managed is good, but opensource is decent these days. You need postgres? Use crunchydata postgres operator or cloudnativepg. Need multiple regions? setup wireguard. IT's more work, but might not be a lot of work.
