I've briefly looked into CRDTs, but I have to ask, beyond a toy-implementation of a TODO list.... how much do they balloon the size of the data stored? Particularly for a complex document like a report with hundreds of fields and arbit

CouchDB / PouchDB(the JS compatible cousin) make use of a global sequence counter to track which documents have changed between sync. Each database uses an arbitrary byte string to mark a position in a sequence of updates to the databa

As another comment pointed out, it's more dealing with carefully crafted db files that trigger issues or exploits, like a zipbomb would for archive processing.

Not to give undue credit to Google.... but I do recall a popup in gmail about personalization not too long ago (either this year or last) with the option to opt-out. Might have just been to the EU/UK users though?

I don't see it as matching the situation with USB-C. USB-C has way, way too many subtypes (Power delivery, Displayport over USB-C, Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen-2x2.6467764, USB-C form factor but only wired for USB 2.0/3.0) and needs

There is some data you can get from them (Attestation I think is what the spec calls it?) though it's just a optional request response I think, the 2fa can ignore it by itself or at users discretion? But this data is more about the man

Nope. Left as an exercise for the user and 2FA provider, and/or the service to provide an alternate recovery system.

It's a comedy act by Bojo the clown (Boris Johnson) and co... To distract the public from the various shitshows currently going on with absolutely daft crap, like this and the "return of imperial measurements"..

Is a discounted chip price going to sway people enough to offset the hotter core (therefore pricier in terms of power and cooling), and limited (in comparison to EPYC) IO?

Isn't ULA a worthy rival? TBF I haven't kept up with their side and how they're doing with rocket R&D, but I know they're a fairly solid launch provider.

I'm curious to know what sort of dev work you do with vscode, it still feels rather snappy to me with ~40 extensions, but perhaps using it for other languages is more of a problem?

Implementing WebGPU allows you to make use of GPU resources on the server (from rendering to more compute focused) Localstorage is admittedly a bit niche, but works well as a way to bypass the need to get generic read/write permissions
