The intent appears to be the manipulation of the physical space at the time of capture. A double exposure of your subject and then a second exposure of the dove or other image would be no better than photoshopping the image after

The original image was an amalgamation of several different reconstruction techniques with varying dependence on prior information. They also had data driven techniques during the original analysis but I don't think they were used to g

I think the gap in this case is not as wide as you think given that it is only looking at this one image. Had the network been trained for one art style in particular it may be able to pick up on that detail similar to if a person had studi
