These aren't (all) DSLR, many are mirrorless (would be good to label which are which). I know that seems pedantic, but mirrorless cameras are better able to run unlimited video out, vs. DSLRs that may timeout after a while.

When you do have your 1:1 synchronous time (probably remote, especially these days), make sure you're organized. I work with some of my mentees to put together a standard agenda for each "meeting". Sometimes that'll be a

I've been talking (and tweeting) a lot about exactly this topic: Teach Testing First. There is _no_ reason this can't be done, and, in fact, it's how I'm teaching a number of folks how to test and code in Java.

CodeMentor.io has these services and there's also https://mentorcruise.com , which isn't quite on-call, though. There are other code mentoring services around, too.

As a Java trainer/coach, I find books to be a great resource for learning, and are woefully underused (under-read?). However, depending on what you’re learning, feedback of whether you’re on the right track is important. MOOCs are also

Constructor validation is great, but it’s hard to tell from this example whether Book is meant to be a domain object (POJO) or a transfer object (JavaBean). It _looks_ like a transfer object (since CRUD was mentioned), but it’s unclear. Eit

Pretty nifty. One problem: clicking on the "Marcdown" name/link in the upper-right reloads the page, _losing_ all content.

Most tutorial writers are not aware of how to create educational materials. They don't think deeply about the learning objectives (what the reader should be able to do or understand at the end), don't understand how to provide con

I hadn't heard of this before, and looks really nice. I'd want integrations with apps I already have such content in, mainly Pocket, GoodReader (iPad), and Zotero. I'd need a way to read on my iPad, though, as that's whe

With my iPad Air 2, I notice the slowness, and a new one with faster processor will definitely make a difference. With my iPhone 6s, everything I need runs more than fast enough, and with a replaced battery, runs long enough on a charge whe

From my understanding, proxying is the ability to work with lower-resolution video -- so it's faster to edit -- but still be frame-accurate to the original, so the output matches what you've been editing.
