I did a ML/AI course in university in 2011 or 2012. After the course, I had a much greater appreciation for how clever and complex the decision making process in our brain is and how difficult it is to get a computer to even do basic d

Without reading your article, isn't it fair to say entropy is a measurement of disorder in a system? Higher disorder equals higher entropy. So you can kind of see how it's fair to use the terms interchangeably

SELinux was a good way of securing linux machines with many services sharing things like file systems and binaries. k8s solves this in a different way. You can write applications that are completely stateless when spun up on a k8s node and

Nice! My usual trick for estimating a companies value is to multiply it's revenue by 10. I highly doubt it's operating hosts are eating into the revenue that much so I'd say they're highly undervalued.

Clickbait detected. If this were true, we'd see a massive uptick in the sales of mainframes. Mainframes don't scale. Nor do the apps you build into them. Unless you have very deep engineering pockets. Most places though won't

only scrubs call it 'the cloud' it's about as recession proof as it is idiot proof. As long as people are around, I'm sure businesses will bounce back and overtime, things will begin to return to normal.

Sad reality of our times. We're eating out less but our plastic household waste/recycling has more than doubled due to all the plastic we get through food deliveries. The market forces for better recyclable/biodegradable pack

If the risk of the change was minimal, why would they not proceed? How can you plan for things occurring out of your control? CF engineers are people as well. Things like this happen and there will be learnings to take out of it (like how t

Nice. Our company also had bought masks for the bushfires here in NSW Australia which they handed out. Sadly there weren't enough for everyone, even before this hoarding craze began.

The entitlement is too real here. Their platform, their choice for what goes on. You want something better? Go build in yourself. I have no problem with platforms self moderating. At the end of the day consumers speak with their actions. Ho

Nice! I'll give it a try next time. I ran Wine and tried to use it before but I never got it working nicely. Funnily enough there's a GitHub project which allows you to make miniprograms on Linux and it works quite well.
