Managed databases are quite good. RDS is very mature and does a very good job with fail over, backups and is very easy to setup. I don't want to manage anything that needs to be clustered. Technologies like that often need trained engi

I wonder how long it will take for conspiracy comments like these to pass. Anyone know how long it took for people to trust Lets Encrypt? Or did we all forget (myself included) of the times when people talked about the issue of trusting som

Brilliant summary on the state of invention at Apple. I think Steve really did give them the edge with design and innovation. Right now there's just no leadership with that kind of bold intent of any one thing in particular. Apple have

I really don't see this as a problem of Cloudflare. End users switching to Cloudflare's DNS endpoint are doing so because they feel the DNS provider is both faster and more secure. They rightly made the decision NOT to pass on the

I'd say modern API deployments are either containerised or go the serverless route. On one hand you have a docker image with your source code/static binary baked in. The other you have your source code/binary encapsulated in

I disagree with all the comments posted so far. This should be a perfect use case for lambda, not "oh you're API is receiving more than 10M req/day? Use Elastic Beanstalk instead with an EC2 instance and ELB". This kind
