Hello! I'm not aware of anyone confusing the two.

We're based in Denton, TX, but much of the team is remote. Not hiring today, but likely soon! Feel free to email me.

We sell Major Tom, our ground control software, and support contracts for KubOS.

A "U" is a Unit, which was arbitrarily defined as a 10x10x10 cm cube.

I disagree. I like the optimism and think it lends a sense of scale to human endeavors.

CubeSats are low mass and tend to be in low orbits that decay in time periods between a few weeks and 10 years. Also, all modern satellites have to be launched with a deorbit plan.

(Self promotion warning!) If you find space science, CubeSat engineering, and space startup news interesting, I'm starting a short weekly newsletter that I think you will enjoy. https://goo.gl/forms/uGi2AL7ELpJK86b

Decent intro to CubeSat hardware. If you want to know about CubeSat software, let me know. The company I work for, Kubos, builds an open source OS for small satellites: https://www.kubos.com/kubos/ (I work on our web-b

I always find articles interesting that are about how the sky would have looked at different points in time. For example, how the current constellations looked 10,000 years ago, or will look in the future. https://www.wired.com&#

That seems unlikely to me. What does seem likely is that they give both themselves and their germ line a genetic mutation. Editing yourself and then having children would be incredibly irresponsible. If you affect your germ cells, you'

Rather, the first one was simply a single node linear perceptron (a linear function) that I trained with backprop because I could, even though there are better techniques for fitting a linear function. Now that it's a "real"

I read some tutorials on back propagation for this, but if you want to get into ML in general, I highly recommend fast.ai and Andrew Ng's free Stanford ML course.

I started with a list of commands prioritized by a linear function of the metrics listed. It did okay, but since I was learning the linear function with back propagation, I figured a "real" network would do slightly better, and it

Sorry, I agree that was confusing. Online learning is a term in ML for when you train a model incrementally over time. McFly won't connect to the Internet.

You can retrain it once you have a bunch of data with the train command. But I'll probably make it do online learning at some point too.

Good question. At the moment it's static. I plan to make it do online learning at some point where it updates the weights as you use it.

I found that the neural network does a little better than a simple linear regression function for weighting the parameters. I train it on a few months of my own shell history to predict, based on the last commands, what I'll type next.
