I also generally dislike opening links in the same window. I prefer a new tab, navigate around from there, click back if necessary. When I can't go back anymore, my session is over for that line of thought and I close the tab. target=&

AFAIK, it falls under PII. I realize some may not consider this personal info, but many others do. There are laws built around its protection and disclosure. I think a failure to protect any data, including PII, is harmful to the user exper

A 322 word blog post, no apology and 6 instances of the word 'abuse'. The PR message that Snapchat just sent is not a good one. Their target demographic may not care much, but at the end of the day, this brand just dropped a big b

I'm not sure what is worse - that Facebook allows data collection for these type of studies or that there are engineers and data scientists willing to study it. Does Facebook wonder why we don't trust them - or even care?

Well it's a good example of how not to communicate. Unless this is normal Yahoo! speak, I'd ask for an interpreter.

What examples might those be? When I look at many products that had the tech-in-crowd blessing and yet failed, often it appeared to be because of lapses in user experience and some humility. It doesn't require a crystal ball to know wh

The OP is trying to solve a problem with a FB mentality. Twitter is a different animal. Lists solve many problems. Twitter could do a better job surfacing lists and making them easier to implement and return to, but we the users have a resp
