Here-here! I really wish there was more human involvement in a lot of these seemingly arbitrary AI-taken actions. Everything from app review to websites and more. This heavy reliance on automated systems has led us down this road. Shoot, ke

Am I missing something when the author writes about a free GCP instance with 8 vcpus & 64GB ram? Which one is that? My second thought, why not scale that up to 64 vcpus (or even more) and spend less time rendering? I'm sure there&

I really wish Mozilla would just focus on making Firefox the best browser it can be. Stop with the gimmicks like VPN and DoH. Give us (back) keyboard shortcuts and fix bugs; unfuck Mozilla first.

That's strange, we got $10k in DO, and $20k in GCP. Both lasted 1 year. The only one I really used was GCP, which expires for me in August. I'm not sure if I regret it or not. I was able to learn a lot and work with technologies I

Further, CoViD-19 literally stands for: Co[rona] Vi[rus] D[isease] - [discovered in 20]19 - "D" standing for disease caused by this particular strain. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed when I found out, though I admit now it&

I don't understand, I use skhd [0] which uses global shortcuts for things like window switching and I've never seen such a request. Unless asking for accessibility permission is the same thing, which I doubt (but admittedly don&#x

This is my worry for them, quantity over quality. Though I have to say their quality is pretty good. It just feels like too much and really confuses people when I start to tell them. My issue is still, how can I describe keybase without peo

Serious question, what is keybase? It started as a identity key verification service (which I use), then went on to be an encrypted file store (which I use), then went to be a chat service (again I still use it though it has its issues), t

+1 for yabai with skhd! I can't imagine working on macos without it and I really can't stress this enough. Hotkeys with skhd is game changer for productivity and nothing compares to yabai for a tiling window manager on macos (thou

Bootcamp is the only real answer on macOS right now when it comes to 3D - that includes more than just gaming. Now I just have wait and see which one will happen first, AMD actually comes out with a high end video card or nvidia and apple w

https://rocm.github.io maybe a good place to start. I've been meaning to checkout TensorFlow for ROCm myself but it's challenging finding general info like what cards are supported (I'm pretty sure Radeon VII is).

Or use old.reddit.com. It's annoying to have to delete 'www' and replace with 'old' every time. I don't stay signed in, otherwise there's an option to only use old.

So this caused me to have to reinstall the OS yesterday. Glad to know what the issue was. And if anyone wants to know, I have to disable SIP because Apple won't let me use an eGPU on my Macbook with TB2.
