I frequently see users type www.microsoft.com or similar into Google. I think people see Google as their address bar, as generally it's set as the home page. Asking a user what the address in the address box/bar is often ends with a blank e

I assume the OP is looking for startups that applied to YC and were not accepted and then went on to success afterwards.

As an example of Steve's commitment to Rentoid, he lists his mobile phone number on the site and actively encourages people to call it. He's had calls at all times of the day and night, however the feedback he gets from his customers thro

I don't get it either, sorry. If I win and gain the followers wagered, don't they still have to unfollow my opponent and follow me? Why would they do this unless they were participating in the game? Or can you only wager people who are play

From my experience, sales people need to have a large financial incentive to get motivated, therefore small retainer, open ended commission. Also, I've never liked flashy sales people. They may say all the right things, but to me this isn't

The high school I attended (10 years ago) has had 4 students commit suicide in the last 6 months. Western Heights College in Geelong, Australia has a student population of around half of Caltech's. This has made major headlines in the Austr

I couldn't agree with you anymore. I fit your description perfectly too. Albums are a group of songs put together for a reason. They flow, have beginnings and endings. The progression of songs tells a story, it makes sense. I would hate to

I use the Google Apps/Gmail interface also. I've found that as it has matured over time there are less reasons I would want a desktop client and more reasons for having the portability of a cross platform, location independent web interface

My take on this though is that if the pricing was more affordable then piracy would be less prevalent. One of the reasons that OS X has a lower level of piracy is that their OS pricing is more affordable (I'll admit there are many other fac

The most important lesson here is that no amount of security on a website/server/physical piece of hardware will stand up to the test if the user is lax in their usage. Social engineering is the new wave of security breaches and it would se

Does the T400 actually match IBM's claims though? My understanding is that the new sealed battery MB & MBP models achieve the number quoted by Apple, which is generally a rarity in notebook battery claims.
