It's odd to me, why didn't Russia/the USSR develop nuclear aircraft carriers? The USSR ran out of money before they could be developed perhaps?

Bring it up in the interview process, particularly when talking to HR, etc. You don't have to make a stand right there but at least find out what's typically in an employment contract (a very reasonable question to ask even in an

I've been fortunate enough to have an employer with no non-compete, but in the past with my first job out of college I just signed everything and was under one for a year after leaving. My thought process now is that a non-compete is

The US is much larger than individual European countries and has an order of magnitude more credit card readers, etc. in circulation. Every single one of those had to be updated to use the new system.

Look past the disruptive startup hype and read the fine print, AirBNB absolutely is warning you to abide by all local laws and regulations. If they didn't do that they would be open to big lawsuits. At the end of the day your insuran

If you aren't comfortable renting your home to random people then don't use AirBNB, plain and simple. Buy a second home for commercial purposes and AirBNB rent it out instead (and if that gives you pause then maybe you should rec

It's not a severe diet restriction--you can't completely get rid of carbs but you can easily get down to 20-50g per day. Stick with eating proteins (meat, sausage, chicken, etc.) and most green vegetables. Some nuts and berries

Sadly if you're actually implementing Bresenham's algorithm today you're doing something very wrong (or don't care about performance). Drawing lines and shapes is all a matter of pumping the desired geometry and shaders
