I tried watching Expelled a week ago. I approached it with an open mind trying to be able to see an alternate perspective. Unfortunately, I found it to be nearly unwatchable. I didn't like it because the presentation made it impossible for

I'm currently using Chromium on Ubuntu. I find the dev builds to be buggy. It is not very stable and it has some really annoying display bugs. I haven't tried Chrome yet, but if you are looking for stability I would trust it over Chromium.

The supposed impact is merely a data point that could be used to interpret Earth impact periodicity. It can only contribute to our to our current collection of data. Defining it as evidence in support or against periodicity is premature.

Yes, spreading rate is really the thing to measure. The reason being, is that this region is faulted and rifted throughout. This particular rift is one of many. Rather than elongating; the rifts will join and will connect northward to the R

This article claims that it could take 4 million years for the crack to each the red sea. Typically, spreading rates are measured in millimeters a year. I don't know what the spreading rate is for this rift. http://www.newscientist.com/art
