I know a bunch of single men with nice engineering jobs (mostly aerospace). The notion that there just aren't good people or there on either side just seems silly to me.

Prostitution is a harder issue because the worry is that by its nature it will still be exploitative and harmful even if it's legal. If prostitution would be safe and healthy for the women most feminists I know would be for it, the wor

The thing is that "nothing illegal" is too low a bar. From a purely ethical standpoint taking money from a platform that supports hate speech is pretty sketchy even if it's not illegal

Like immediately after the original story aired an email was leaked where the CEO of Google basically admitted that it was fucked up and said the policy changed a couple years ago so there isn't going to be a big group dissenting over

I don't think it's that hard. I would bet 90m$ that if there was a similar sexual harassment situation now he wouldn't get the money.

How do you link machines to bondage? If you look at slavery from Sparta to the American South it's often had a large component of agricultural labor. Even things like serfdom where the serfs were nominally free but tied to working the

I know I don't really understand the most recent tax bill but I've heard that red states will get more of the benefit from the changes in it. Is that not true or is there a good reason for it?

Everything is built off of norms and expectations. An example people have a little bettwr tendency to understand is that if a bunch of soldiers get shot in a war it's less of a big deal than if a bunch of people get shot in the suburbs

My grandparents hung clothes up often but honestly it took longer and was more work than a dryer. It takes like 30 seconds to load clothes into a dryer and it gets them dry in about an hour regardless of weather.
