Long time XPS customer. My last one had the very famous battery swelling in just a few months and Dell refused to replace the battery. On previous models for other customers they replaced it for free for what it is: a manufacturing defect.

That would be a horrible system for news. It would put a huge amount of power in the hands of whoever is determined to be an expert. And I don't see how it fulfills your previous claim: > and doesn't require some nefarious gov

Did someone here embrace "This won't work. Therefore, nothing will work. We should do nothing!"? I don't see that in this thread, but feel free to point it out if I missed it. I simply started with a seemingly easy quest

The options you described just leave us with a less direct version of what we have now. Someone owns and runs media companies because it is a source of influence and income. Someone will run the AI-mediated Blockchains of Truth, etc for the

I am not confident the danger is an existential threat. I think it's an interesting problem that markets are doing a poor job of solving. But since I don't want any government in charge of deciding what is fake news and you haven&

Peer review of news by citizens is already done in an informal way based on what they click on and share. Even when you point someone to Snopes showing a news article is false, people will respond saying Snopes is run by lefties and cannot

I think you are mixing up concerns. Webpack + babel does make debugging harder in general. Because you are looking at the output of a compiler. But what does that have to do with generators? Do you have a specific concern about how Babel &q

Promises and generators were ES6, so around the same time. Although people were using promises long before it became an official feature in ES6. I remember using promises as far back as 2012 or earlier - jquery had them. ES6 was 2015. Await

As someone who also does technical writing, I agree you should draw from your own experience. It can be hard to find the right analogy. If the subject of the analogy is enough of a hot topic, it will get attention itself. As you can see, yo

Generators will likely be a new paradigm. They are too powerful for senior devs to ignore. And so the junior devs will be taught. Like promises were taught.
