We use last pass and it stinks. Would probably go with bitwarden or dashlane if we did it again.

I didn’t say they discourage usage of a dns cache at all.

It’s the first thing on google when you google “aws dns vpc limits” but sure: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vpc/latest/userguide/vpc-dns.htm...

Yes and they limit you to throwing 1024 packets per second per network interface at it. Of course you could run your own dns cache per host/pod whatever.

This happened to us at Hustle years ago. Basically if you run on AWS there’s a DNS server provided inside each VPC that usually works fine but which has no observable load metrics etc... so you don’t really know you are slamming it and are

At this point why would you use CouchDB over something like MongoDB? Seriously asking... Over the past 5 years MongoDB has gotten a great storage engine, transactions, distributed transactions, multi master replication, first class change s

Pick your poison I guess. I’d rather have security than freedom when it comes to a cell phone. I’d also rather Apple decide what the wall looks like than Verizon.

This law actually led to Bernie Madoff being caught. I worked at a hedge fund at the time and we applied this to his returns and immediately knew it was a scam.

Plus... what’s the point? Maybe we automate a couple jobs for long haul shipping or road trips but what a fruitless effort! Why don’t we work on drones that pick us up and take us places to really leap ahead, get out of traffic, and do some

Why does someone need something like this? I ran a home symbology NAS at one point but it wasn’t worth the trouble. Let others run and maintain those hot, loud, power hungry disks.

As it should be; I dislike when books are dogmatic a out setup. Those pages are usually out of date at by the time the book is in print.

Yet everyone on here praises these chips and AMD as the (second?) coming of Christ. I don’t get it, it seems like there are technical leaps but sloppy execution. In the end I still trust intel (even with specter/meltdown etc) more than

Maybe daisy chaining is the problem then? It has something to do with the order the devices are enumerated.

Dahl wrote rust bindings for V8 and Deno itself is a rust project. You can think of it as a large rust wrapper around C++ Javascript runtime.

Why Django over something like rails? If you going to go for batteries included go for a Tesla battery pack and not a set of double a Duracells. I like using flask but django always felt half baked to me vs rails.
