The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is dagster: https://github.com/dagster-io/dagster It’s made by Nick Schrock of graphql fame, among others. I’m sure there are 100s of these projects though.

I’ve written some things in both languages and compiling go feels an order of magnitude faster.

Maybe it’s not appropriate for the official cpython but would be appropriate for something like pypy?

Wow, I always skipped over hammerspoon because I thought it was only for window management. My eyes are opened, this is great!

When will we see support for this built into iOS?

Wonderful tool. I’ve said this before but something holding it back is that you need python to run it and have a python environment set up. Usually this isn't that big of a deal but it’s just enough friction to make me not reach for it

Inlining CTEs is a big deal but they also finally have a way to see the progress of an index build without a PhD in postgresology! Check it out here: https://www.postgresql.org/docs/12/progress-reporting.html

Thanks! As you probably know, c++ is definitely unique in that there is no built in way to manage dependencies and no de facto package manager. I would definitely use it for a cpp project.

Everything feels beta. It crashes on about 10% of our builds with an inscrutable java error deep in the bowels of bazel. The solution, according to the bazel authors, is to rebuild, which works so our ci pipeline has an auto retry mechanism

We’ve been using it to build and deploy a ~500k loc JavaScript monorepo and I have an unpopular opinion about it. While I see the benefits of it for google scale, for us it’s just been one headache after another. Reimplementation of python

Just did the same thing. Greatest benefit of standard notes is also that the notes are just plain text.

Love that the front page shows me how much storage some hypothetical user needs yet I’m logged into google (can see my icon at top) and it doesn’t show how much storage I need. Complete design fail.

I wholeheartedly agree. Why do you think no other toolchain has come close to this for other languages or frameworks? It’s a very common problems that needs a solution no matter what you are building and what you are building it on.

Always great to have more tools that can do this sort of thing. I used to use desproxy for this almost 20 years ago back in my windows days: http://desproxy.sourceforge.net/

That seems so incredibly unreasonable. It would ruin AWS overnight if it was discovered that they tampered with client data. Even Microsoft lets its employees use Macs if they want. Use the best tool for the job. How does anyone even find a

I’d get a Thinkpad! Compatibility wise the dell is great but build quality is lacking. The Thinkpads (X, T, Carbons) are all light years ahead and have similar - if not better - compatibility out of the box. I have a X1 Carbon 6th gen and t

Sure but this sounds like a software bug. There isn’t any way the screen protector makes the returned “ultrasounds” look like the one it’s expecting, it just confuses the reader which should result in rejected authentication. Seems sloppy.

Email is beautifully asynchronous so the time spent interacting with the underlying API is not important unless it’s horrifically sabotaged for third party clients.

In my limited understanding content blockers seem more sane as they doesn’t give the extension cart blanche to read your pages and write to the DOM. Instead it passes links to content the browser wants to load into the content blocker as a
