You wouldn’t though. And that’s part of the allure. Someone doing something transgressive that the rest of us wouldn’t, and (sometimes) making something beautiful. I certainly wouldn’t give the label superhero. But it can be interesting.

Sort of interesting, yes. But it’s human nature to put more effort into something you might have some influence over rather than something you don’t. Possibly doing more of the former could lead to the latter being more feasible

What does “no open borders” mean here? I’ve seen this term used but I don’t quite get it. Surely it can’t mean completely closing the borders? I.e. literally nobody can enter the country, ever.

You can get earplugs that only lower the sound quality a tiny bit these days. I bought some from the drum shop and they’re great. As you say, $20 or so to avoid lifetime ear damage is a very very good investment. I feel like concerts aren’t
