Ironically you are being incredibly rude trying to support an argument that posting AI responses is rude. I guess we can conclude you know nothing about anything.

I drive a 2018 Nissan Leaf and the software is sometimes laughably bad. But the basics like when you’re charging are ok in my experience

Yep. I remember being driven around roads like this with a friend with a high performance car who knew what he was doing, so could go what seemed like a terrifyingly high speed to me, but was perfectly safe for him. Then we hit some other c

I see what you mean, but I actually think there is a place for copy/pasting AI responses. I think of it as a kind of cache, surely a HN comment being served to n users means less resources used and faster access than if all n did their

I’m still not sure what the misuse is. “Literally” is now commonly used as an intensifier, like how “awesome “ used to mean inspiring awe, including if you were scared of something, and now is mostly an intensifier. Awesome, dude!

I an currently forced to use stuff. I would walk to the shop if one was close enough, but everything around me is built around cars so it’s not practical. Thus I am forced to use a car though I would rather not. Now, you’re entirely correct

I haven't come across any "eco activists" who solely push for straw bans etc and nothing else. It's pretty obvious that the way forward is to not use so much stuff. LEDs and solar panels are nice but don't encourage

Is it possible that private property and/or violence against humans is orthogonal to so-called stewardship of land? E.g. cultural norms could result in better natural preservation, even if by accident rather than by what a modern perso

I have many times walked home when I didn’t trust the bus timetable or the taxi equivalent. Always expected to get mugged but it hasn’t happened yet. I guess people often think someone walking is someone to not be messed with. Very place de

This reminds me a bit of how VCs bet on a bunch of startups in full knowledge that many will fail. The failures in some sense get a “free ride”. Why not the same with people?

First day of metalwork I managed to catch my hand on a sharp edge and got a cut that was bleeding juuuust enough to warrant a bandaid. I went to the teacher to ask for one. The look of confusion on his face is emblazoned on my memory. After
