Agree. I've found the web view in Pocket (and probably other apps with built-in web views) to do a better job of displaying HN comment pages than any of the browsers I tried, though. Simply because it wraps the comments at a comfortable lin

Slightly off topic, but does it annoy anybody else that when TVs "upgraded" to 1920x1080 as de facto standard, computer screens were downgraded from 1920x1200 as a consequence? Why do computers need to be 16:9 all of a sudden??

The reason why Apple and their ilk use an old version of GCC, is that newer versions are licensed under GPLv3 which does not work for them. For the same reason they are switching to LLVM. So if Clang supports C++11 well enough, Apple switch

Indeed. I'd say it's about twice as old as Mac OS X. The first version of OS X was released 10 years ago. BBedit about 20 years ago, at the end of the System 6 era.
