My employer was on ae before the "big" price hike and after, and even to this day it is cheaper than the alternatives. sure there was a couple of months of it being pricier nowhere near 5000% though. Like when we ported to 2.7 from 2.5. Whi

i felt it did very well as an introduction. I think a deep dive into ember-data would be great for those who have been traditionally server side devs now getting into more of the client side stuff.

there is support if you pay for it. in general whenever I file a ticket I get a response within hours. that's at least as good(if not better) as working with any other vendor in my experience. So... where's this 0 support you are talking ab

so datanitro really is the future of excel as described in the blog post. good to know. I'm still curious as to how putting any "real" programming language behind spreadsheets is supposed to fix the situation that happened last week. the bl

how does putting a "real" language on the backend of spreadsheets help fix what happened in London? seems like it's just a bigger gun with which to shoot yourself in the foot.

a .net based language probably already has hooks into the office API's, that would be one reason to use iron python vs. regular cpython.

this assumes the startup in question has some sort of control over the situation. I bet that isn't always the case. I'm sure ideally everyblock would have liked to wind things down a little less abruptly, but sometimes, reality sucks.
