Core.async will result in a crop of new and very interesting libraries for Clojure and ClojureScript, specially for non-trivial server and client-side applications. I know a few I want to rewrite already! Although macros are considered evil

I actually thought this service made LinkedIn somewhat useful. It's a loss for LinkedIn in my book. I have no idea what API changes caused this, but all this process of closing down ecosystems by locking down the public APIs makes the

You say that a conservative libertarian approach is the only path. I find it hard to believe it is the only option, tbh, and you provide no evidence --nor I have evidence to support that it is not. But, could it be that the problem is that

I feel the same way about onswipe. At a time where mobile devices have ultra-high screen resolutions and very fancy zooming features, I find the use (shoving into our eyes) of onswipe by many websites to be disruptive and annoying. I usuall

I sympathize with the author. Lean Startup is a very good tool that should be in your toolbox, but it's being sold and resold as "the way". It's not the only way, and it doesn't guarantee success, not more so that knowing the scientific met

What I find most interesting from this post is his belated admission of the brokenness of G+ when he writes "(NB: If you're seeing this via a reshare, please remember to comment on the original post if you want me to see what you're saying!

I am a European doing the entrepreneurship thing in the US, with a wife and 2 young kids, and I find the health care situation here my biggest problem and worry. I start every month owing $1400 to some health care company that, when push co

I doubt OpsCode is getting much revenue from OpsWorks, or any, since AWS is giving it out for free. It's hard to compete with free. This tweet from OpsCode reads like they were blindsided and trying to catch up https://twitter.com/opscode/

I don't see any press release from OpsCode, which makes me think this is not a joint venture with them, which in turn makes me wonder how dangerous is to be part of the AWS ecosystem... If you prove a market around AWS, what are the odds of

A trimmed down version is great news. Datalog makes Clojure so much better! Ideally it would be part of Clojure itself, but I'll take what I can get :)

Datalog for clojure's data structures would take Clojure to a new productivity level. It would also greatly simplify a lot of the code out there today, further driving software to be more data-oriented. Data is the ultimate API. Please make

I feel the same way. Evernote is extraordinary in terms of document acquisition, but you're alone once you have to work with it. There is no sane way to keep things organized, other than folders. Saved searches are a joke too. Document edit

I guess theoretical is a subjective term. What I meant to say was that Clojure/conj seems geared towards advanced clojure users, and I think Clojure would benefit of a conference that focuses more on bringing new developers to the fold. Fro

I find clojure/conj to be a tad too theoretical (at least from paper). Not that I don't like that since I am a language geek anyway, but I think it will be great for Clojure the language to have a more of a "get things done" conference to c
