I don't understand your reply. It is quite possible that somebody doesn't know that the Cocoa wrapper is a part of upstream emacs, which is why I asked.

When you say vanilla emacs, do you include the Cocoa version? ( http://emacsformacosx.com/ ) I'm using that many hours every day and have zero problems. Regarding fullscreen, if you use a recent build both native and non

No, there is a large amount of factors that have been linked to being able to cause schizophrenia. There is no final answer to the debate at the moment. See also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causes_of_schizophrenia

The GHC release containing this is scheduled for release in 1-2 months. You can already build it from source though.

You are searching for Yesod - http://www.yesodweb.com - which has some other fancy features like making sure that you can never render an incorrect dynamic URL (because URL's are represented by data types) and more such fea

You wouldn't get a full post-mortem from a company like Apple, because they are wilfully intransparent. My employer (Spotify) for example posts somewhat detailed post-mortems[1] after big outages - doing this always comes with a spike

I've never understood why password managers use browser plugins. It should be an application agnostic overlay that pastes selected passwords into the currently selected textbox. I'm working around that at the moment with a combina

Can you have a look at the mail headers and check if it was just a standard phishing mail?

Do you have access to the CRT? If yes, does that still work? It hinges on the same login infrastructure as reseller.apple.com AFAIK. I have nothing to do with Apple anymore so I can't check it myself :)

Not correct. Apple got a takedown request from a single (non-core) developer of VLC last time and had to comply due to the GPL. The GPL itself is not a problem for them in general and they don't just go around removing apps that are li

I would like to know how this works with 802.1X credentials. Does this "feature" save my company internal LDAP password that I use to authenticate to the network to the cloud? Unencrypted?

It's not a surprise, they've done this to other pro products as well. The money Apple makes through these applications is a drop in the lake for them, by moving the price down so much they give competitors a hard time and appease

I've been using Opera Next (the preview version of Opera with Blink) for a few weeks now and I would say this is the first time in the history of browsers that I actually like a browser. Chrome has always had a lot of annoying bugs for

People like John Gruber, who have close relationships to Apple and are - in theory - also under the same NDA openly talk about betas and previews on their blogs, podcasts and so on. (Just saying this to support what you said)

Not sure if I get the point of this? On digital documents it makes no difference at all and if the NSA (or whoever else) really wanted to digitalise printed documents written in this font they could surely just make some minor modifications

I consider myself a very technical person, but I never saw a reason to use RSS feeds (or Reader for that matter). There are not a lot of "content websites" that I follow (Fefes Blog, Beautiful Pixels, MacRumors...) but rather content aggreg
