Sometimes I consider going back to the trades (I have enough experience I could easily do so), but no way would I want to be a flagger. The boredom would kill me by noon the first day.

Nothing battle-tested, but an interesting question. I'll bow out, because all I have is the rambling incoherence of a bizarre mind.

I'm US based, so any formulas I come up with tend to be in Imperial, not metric. Bad jokes aside, do you want bugs committed before a set date to be ignored in the calculation, or receive a lower weight?

You can do twice as much work as you bill for, but if you don't somehow show the client it's all for nothing. You get no goodwill, which is typically what businesses are looking for when they do free work. I try to always show any

I use Kee-pass. The password generator is good and I'm not aware of any breaches. I don't know how good the browser integration is. Mine is backed up to several locations that I also use it from, I suppose Dropbox would work.

Yes, in the past week I've had two unclear emails from lower level staff. The second one I picked up on the error quickly, the first had me chasing my tail for a while. Words have meanings, and learning to use industry jargon correctly

This was my first thought as well. I'm not sure, though, that one Subway would support 10 full time employees. An assistant manager could handle most of the day to day operations, with the OP overseeing.

There are businesses dedicated to assisting S-corp owners in determining reasonable compensation. While $54,000 is not a ridiculously low number, there is no "magic number" that makes the IRS happy. Remember, you are working for t

Trackball user here, with a cheap wireless mouse siting on the desk for variety. I use my left hand most of the time so the right can stay on the number pad, arrows, and enter key. During my busy season I often work eighty hours in six days

Okay, vertigo is tough. Tougher than fear that results in "locking up", from what I have observed in others. I have one friend who has issues with vertigo, has seen a doctor, and never found a solution. Others have told me that ke

Thanks for the response. As SquareWheel also commented, the lack of punctuation seems disinterested or dismissive to me. I suppose my criticism of lack of punctuation is not different than others criticism of its inclusion.

Honest question. What offense do I cause by using punctuation? The lack of it bothers me - it seems sloppy. I tend to stay away from one word replies, and if I need to confirm use 10-4 or wilco. Are either of those offensive?
