Exactly this. Most people's huge, monolithic apps should be partitioned out into smaller, more modular apps. They're easier for multiple developers to work on, they're easier to spec out, they can have their own optimization

We're using it in a responsive website that renders on tablets...not quite mobile, and not delivered via a packaged web-view app. It performs fine for 99% t of our use cases on more modern tablets. Most JavaScript apps suck on < i

We didn't actually find the documentation and examples that bad. I had a team of heavy front-end (html/css/Jquery) developers get up to speed in knockout fairly easily. It would have been a nightmare explaining to them how t

It's not. And not everything should be architected as a SPA, but more likely multiple page SPAs. Your users probably don't go to every module of a large app with the same frequency...

It's a direct connection into the docs of the API you're working with and not necessarily about saving a couple keystrokes. When I had it available to me, I'd often use it to explore the class or object I'm working with.

It sounds like someone soon will being reinventing OLE (Object linking and embedding)...which scares me a lot. Maybe call it MOLE - mobile object linking and embedding?

Totally agree with you 110% on the passive-aggressive thing. I've been on east coast now (Boston) for about 16 years. I've grown to appreciate knowing where I stand with people.

I have one project using Angular in this manner, and it's great for it (I don't use Angular's routing system). Another project is using Knockout.JS. I prefer the Knockout method when integrating with a lot of 3rd party/

One thing people don't really think about is that this whole notion of SPA is kind of a pipe-dream, overkill. There might be some apps that are really a single page application (likely just those simple, demo add task apps), but most

I, am/was a big fan of Angular, but on a recent project decided we didn't have the right team composition for a lot of the coding styles and complexities angular introduces. We went with a JQuery/Knockout solution, too. Some

Ha...I think about this all the time. I start researching something, eventually buy it. Then a ton of targeted ads show up everywhere advertising to me the product I already purchased.

And that space has a ton of competitors in it now, too. Some heavy hitters like Podio, Asana, Zoho. I don't see any reason why some of 37's other products can't get rolled up into Basecamp as features/modules though.
