Yes because there is no point in having huge yield now if the soil is dead in a few decades. We need to get over the "fighting" framing (i.e. short-term oversimplified industrial vision with 0 concern regarding sustainability).

As a Safari user I’m really happy with that behavior, it avoids the hassle of manually purging it regularly. Also in my opinion websites have no business storing data on my device through a browser. If I want that behavior I would use a nat

PWA are not a standard, they are a Google concept pushed through Chrome (OS). I’m fine with Apple never supporting it.

For me JSX vs HTML templates depends of your organization and workflow. If you’re a solo dev or in a JS heavy team, I think JSX can make more sense. HTML templates on other hand give a lot of power to non dev. It works well for our agency w

Or alternatively, then came Internet for the masses. Before that a lid was kept on a huge part of the population, the dream of raw global information sharing turned out to be a nightmare our societies/species is no ready for.

Tangential but it make me think, given the network effects and associated monopoly position of some FAANGs like Google or Facebook, it seems they could hire engineer to do nothing and still be vastly profitable. In fact, it would have the b

This is a very important aspect, we really must stop looking at country specific environmental impact (and some other metrics) without its attached outsourced production.

Have you tried Vue? It’s very different than React because you can just augment your HTML with what you need, it’s not all or nothing. What’s complex and usually overkill for small projects is the "modern" build tool chain, but yo

My comment was maybe a bit provocative but you didn't just say Safari had a few quirks (like the slow release cycle for bugs like the recent ones with LocalStorage and IndexedDB that is a pain), you said it was your bane. That usually

That make me think that maybe the mindset of well defined music genres coupled with fashion that is the staple of many publications (Pitchfork, Vice, ...) is just becoming obsolete with the fluid environment of today.

The classic Vaporwave tag may be on the decline because there are many offshoots, and also the sound and aesthetics are absorbed in other genres.

Two things being decades old doesn’t mean they share the same situation. Not every concept is automatically obsolete after a few decades (COBOL definitely is though).
